Welcome Back Bloomers!
I come to you today with a super delicious dessert. I mean this will have your mouths watering! Inspired by the Maple Butter Blondie that use to be on Applebees menu. This was my favorite go to dessert. I turned it into my own based on ingredients I enjoy and OH MY GOODNESS. Talk about delicious. I made these to bring to game night at our friend's home. This blondie is packed with flavor and the amazing part about it is that you can tweak it to your liking and use substitutes.
Ingredients
For the Blondies
8 Tbsp butter melted
1 cup light brown sugar
1 large egg
1 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
1/8 tsp salt
1 cup flour
1 cup pecans
1 cup walnuts
1 cup milk chocolate chips
For the Maple Butter Sauce
1/3 cup butter
1 cup sugar
8 oz cream cheese softened
1/4 cup Walden calorie free, sugar free syrup (I used Pancake syrup but other options are available as well)
2 Tbsp light brown sugar
ice cream we used is vanilla but you can choose your preference
Instructions
For the Blondies
Preheat oven to 350 and grease an 8x8 baking pan.
In a large bowl, combine butter and brown sugar. Mix until smooth.
Add egg, vanilla, and salt. Stir until blended.
Mix in flour until combined.
Mix in pecans, walnuts, and chocolate chips.
Spread the batter into the baking pan and bake for 25 minutes.
For the Maple Butter Sauce
In a medium sauce pan, mix butter, sugar, cream cheese, maple syrup and brown sugar.
Cook over medium heat and stir until smooth. Simmer for 10-15 minutes, stirring frequently.
Once the blondies are cooked and cooled completely, cut blondies into squares and serve with ice cream and drizzle sauce over the top
TOP OFF WITH ICE CREAM AND SERVE!
Hope you enjoy and I look forward to seeing your creations. Don't forget to leave a comment below letting me know how yours came out.
